The US Army is looking to re-establish the Monuments Men (and Women) and is seeking professionals in archaeology, museum directors, and other cultural heritage professionals to enlist. While there has always been some form of the Monuments Men in the army since World War II, it has not been the same. The army is seeking to return the group to its World War II strength. This primarily has to do with the devastation in Afghanistan, Iraq and Syria, and the increasing threat of the Islamic State. For more on this, click here.
